Tickets are now on sale for INDIGO BLUES, the second show of the 2008 LIFE LESSONS THEATRE SEASON!  Tickets are $10 and may be purchased on-line.  Group rates available, seating is limited. 

UpStage Theatre members will journey to North Louisiana for two performances of IN THE SPIRIT, a collage of thought-provoking vignettes with Biblical themes.  On May 24 at 3 pm the troupe will perform at New Rocky Valley Baptist Church in Grambling; and Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Alexandria on May 25 at 11 am.

There are different ways that you, as a member of the community can help us.  We are always on the lookout for volunteers.  There's nothing like the feeeling of satisfaction when watching a performance at UpStage Theatre knowing that you had a part in making the show a success.  Community theatre is not just about acting and directing.  Many people just like you help behind the scenes, and they are just as important to UpStage Theatre as those on stage.  Volunteering is great fun and it's also a way of giving something back to our community.  You can also help by:

** Bringing a friend or two to a show

Our theatre is a non-profit organization, and survives soley on ticket sales and donations. 

UpStage Theatre offers workshop scholarships as well as academic scholarships to students pursing studies in the performing arts.  For applications and additional information please contact the office.

UpStage's Children Theatre Program teach acting and performance skills and prepare students to perform on stage for audiences. This program is designed for children to embark on a journey to exciting destinations through  literature.  Students are introduced to the elements of acting and theatre with emphasis on creativity, focus, listening, characterization and story development.  Students will build and strengthen skills key to successful acting.  Performances will include scene works from children's literature as well as student's original work.
