Emerging Playwrights...
from Page to UpStage!

   
UpStage Theatre Company is proud to host its first annual Emerging Playwright Project. Two plays will be selected from the submission pool, and will be produced by UTC September 16-19.  The winning playwrights will be announced July 10th.  Auditions for the productions will be held 30 and 31 at 5:00 pm. Cast information will be available July 11th.  


 STAR TROUPE PRESIDENT RELOCATES  
Oonarissa Brown-Bernard, UTC's Star Troupe President and Award Winning Actress has relocted to Atlanta, GA to continue working in the theatre industry.  All the best to an outstanding star!  We will miss you.                                

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Volunteers are an important aspect of UpStage.  there are many opportunities to help the Theatre with productions and various events.  As a volunteer, you get a chance to meet and mingle with the theatre-going public and and cast members.For college students, this is an excellent and fun way to earn community service hours whicle enjoying excellent live theatre productions.  For more information on volunteering, contact the office at 225-924-3774.

As we prepare for a new season, the bar has been raised.  UpStage Theatre has launced its fundraising campaign to build a new theatre!  Our artistic vision and audiences have outgrown and current facility.  As we continue to take our bows in front of the curtain for outstanding productions this season, we are working behind the curtain to prepare for an even greater 2011 challenge!  UpStage Theatre Company is committed to fulfilling these challenges and humbly asks for your help.
