The Guidelines:

You must 18 years or older to enter.
Play must be unpublished and not previously produced. Original works only.
Play must be full length, at least 70 ,minutes. Dramas, comedies, and farces are accepted. No adaptations or musicals.
Cast size is limited to four characters, with interesting storylines.
Play should require only a single set.
Scripts should be typewritten on standard paper size, bound with staple only, and pages numbered.
Submit three (3) copies with title only. Include unbound sheet which includes the title of the play, playwright's name and address, email, and phone number. Playwright's name will not be known to the play-reading panel.
Enteries are accepted from January 1, 2012 to June 1, 2012. Enteries postmarked later than June 1, 2012 will not be considered. Two plays will be selec4ed for production September 14-16, 2012.   

What Your Submission Should Include:
Playwright's biography.
The development, history, of the play.
Character breakdown, and brief synopsis of the play.
Your complete address, email address, and telephone number.
All scripts must be firmly bound. No changes or revisions accepted afer submissions. No double-sided pages.
UpStage Theatre Company will not assume responsibility for lost or damaged scripts.
PLEASE RETAIN A COPY OF YOUR SCRIPT.

VOLUNTEERS NEEDED!
There are many opportunities for volunteers at UpStage!  As a volunteer you have a chance to meet and greet with the theatre-going public and cast members. For college students, this is an excellent and fun way to earn community service hours while enjoying live theatre productions.
